Be Patient, Stop and Smell the Roses
Stop and smell the roses in your life. I guarantee you they smell a lot more fragrant than you may have realized.
I had been actively avoiding certain responsibilities because I feel like it means I’ve succumbed to a sort of failure. Not necessarily a downward one though. One that I’m aware of in the sense that I know that my life is progressing forward and that life is cyclical. Situations repeat themselves, sometimes more often than we may realize. The failure I’m talking about has been a feeling of failing upward. One where you know things are going the right way but sometimes you feel like you’re fumbling around, but not quite dropping the ball. My feelings of failure have more to do with me not being patient with myself and my journey, than with actual failure itself. Failing is okay in life. It’s natural and necessary. However, it shouldn’t be viewed as always happening just because things aren’t on the timeline you had initially planned for.
Recognizing the way you are succeeding is key.
🔑
Be able to appreciate your success without constantly comparing it to failure. Sit in your success for a minute and then get back to work.
Live with ambition.
